Response to copyright ted talk

I thought this ted talk was really interesting.  It made me think about copyrights in a whole new way.  One thing it reminded me of is when rappers and other artists use whats called a "sample"  in their music. The first song that comes to mind for me is Kanye West's Gold digger he uses a sample of a Ray Charles song.  I think that copyrights should be ignored for the purpose of art, creativity, or school projects.  And musicians use other artists songs in their music all the time, I'm not sure if they pay for the sample but its still not plagiarism.

TED talk

I watched a TED talk about this woman who only brought 7 pairs of underwear to the whole conference.  She planned to find everything she would need to wear at thrift shops.  She never spends a lot of money on her clothes and she says that the money she spends almost always goes to a good cause.  And at the end of the conference she donated all the clothes back to the thrift store.  I thought this talk was interesting, I chose it because I like shopping at thrift stores too but this is an very different way of looking at shopping and expressing yourself through your clothing.
